Assignments:

1.  BUGS Cases - Complete these exercises during the suggested time frame in the schedule above.  Cases that are labeled with ** have unique material that is covered on exams.  None of the cases for virology are assigned.  Note that we take note of material that is reinforced in the BUGS and lecture, even if the case is not assigned.

2.  Current Topics in Microbiology (CTIM) -

CTIM Group Assignments (Courses link)
CTIM Room Assignments - Bloom susbtituting for Moussatche on Oct. 6
        CTIM Materials:
            CTIM 1 - 2009 H1N1 (Swine Flu) (Sept. 18, 11:00)
CTIM 2 - Prions as Infectious Agents (Oct. 2, 11:00)
            CTIM 3 - Smallpox vaccine (Oct. 6, 11:00)

3.  Virtual Microbiology Lab - Due Oct. 28, 5:00 p.m. - Key (will be linked here after the exercise closes)- We lost our wet lab years ago.  The Virtual Microbiology Lab enables you to go through exactly the same decision making process, data evaluation, and diagnostics as our former wet lab.  You will need to know this information for our exams and exams administered by "other people".  You must complete the lab by the deadline - part of the physician scholar competency evaluation.  Work in groups if you want, submit individually.

3.  Clinical Microbiology Conferences (CMC) - You have been assigned groups.  Look over the Pre-CMC material, read the appropriate material from Infectious Disease in 30 Days, and submit the Pre-CMC Warmup by the assigned day (see schedule above and below).  Your faculty leader may assign students to present cases or answer specific questions.  This material is covered on our exams in the form of essay questions.
     Introduction
CMC Group Assignments (link to Courses) - Please note break-up of Dr. Iovine's and Dr. Sankratri's groups on Oct. 28 only - see the room assignments immediately below.
CMC Room Assignments - Please note - revised Oct. 26
     CMC Key Facts Wish List

CMC Materials and Required Assignments - note new dates on warm-ups 2-5:
